Amanda Tembreull, MD
Family Medicine
“With the ever-increasing complexity of medical care, my role is to help patients and their families navigate a path of health and wellness despite the uncertain seas that illness might bring.”
Length of time at OMC:I have been at OMC since completing my family medicine residency in 2008.
Why do you like working at OMC?I enjoy working at OMC because we treat our patients like family. I work with an amazing group of compassionate and highly skilled healthcare professionals.
What is your philosophy of care?I am very detail-oriented, but also see each person as a whole. With the ever-increasing complexity of medical care, my role is to help patients and their families navigate a path of health and wellness despite the uncertain seas that illness might bring. As Ralph Waldo Emerson stated (and Aerosmith sang), ‘Life is a journey, not a destination.’ As your family doctor, I am here to take this journey with you.
What do you like to do when you’re not at OMC?In addition to being a family doctor, I am also a wife and mother of three kids. We enjoy outdoor activities and plan to visit all the national parks together. We also love animals and have two Australian shepherds, a mini-dachshund, a Holstein cow and a quarter horse. I enjoy gardening, running with friends, and practicing yoga and meditation.
Fun Fact about me:I ran the Twin Cities Marathon in 2012.
