Heart Care
Cardiology is a sub-specialty of internal medicine that focuses specifically on disorders of the heart and blood vessels. Our cardiology services specialists from Minnesota Heart Institute work closely with OMC staff to diagnose and treat conditions such as chest pain, irregular rhythms, and high blood pressure, as well as congenital heart defects, heart disease and heart failure.
Through our expanded heart care department, we provide on-site both Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing and Stress Echocardiograms, cardiac monitoring, and echocardiograms. Our cardiac rehabilitation program is designed to help you achieve and maintain an active life after a heart attack, open heart surgery, angioplasty or other heart-related procedure or event through a supervised exercise and education-based program.
