OMC welcomes two holiday babies

For a few local families, the holidays weren’t about gifts under the tree or the New Year. It was celebrating the greatest gift of all, healthy babies welcomed at Osceola Medical Center’s Birth Center.

Christmas morning brought a special 7 pounds, 8 ounces gift to Justin and Kayla Luttinen as they welcomed their new baby boy into the world. Born at 6:04 a.m., 19 3/4 inch long Owen Allan Luttinen was a Christmas baby delivered by OMC’s Family Physician, Jennifer Belisle, MD. Mother and baby are both doing well and receiving care by Family Physician, Erika Helgerson, DO. New Year’s Baby

On New Year’s Day, OMC received its first speedy delivery in 2019. Baby Koester was delivered January 1 at 3:47 p.m. by OMC’s Emergency Physician, Erik Severson, MD, 10 minutes after arriving to the medical center. This adorable little boy weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. He was welcomed by parents, Jennifer Lunsman and Jeff Koester as well as siblings Kaylynn, Austin, Jordyn and Jaxson. Mom and baby are both doing well, receiving care by Family Physician Erika Helgerson, DO. As the first baby born in 2019 at OMC, Baby Koester and his parents were presented with a large basket filled with gifts ranging from baby clothes and dry cleaning to gas cards and groceries. These items were donated by Osceola Medical Center and other local area businesses.
