Osceola Medical Center is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization. As such, many opportunities exist for community members to give or volunteer. Your efforts help provide funds for programs, equipment and scholarships, and go a long way toward helping provide the high-level care our community expects.
We invite you to consider volunteering at Osceola Medical Center. Our opportunities provide a great way to help people and give back to our community. Our most common opportunities involve helping at our gift shop – Prairie Gifts – and at the Concierge’s Desk. We also have opportunities in our John Simenstad Surgery Center and assisting with various events such as the Red Cross Blood drives. Most opportunities are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours. If you are interested in volunteering at OMC or would like information, contact Sara Cutts, Guest Services manager, directly at 715-294-5757.
Partners of OMC
The Partners of Osceola Medical Center began in 1984 as OMC’s Auxiliary when a small group of people came together to create an innovative infant car seat program for new babies leaving the hospital. Since then, the group has grown to more than 65 members and has been instrumental in helping maintain quality care for OMC’s patients.
Through its work, Partners has provided OMC with services and equipment, such as trauma carts, fetal monitors, blood pressure monitors and warming blankets.
- Love Lights
One of the Partners’ popular activities is its annual, heartwarming tradition for many area families, the “Love Light Tree”. This event allows you to dedicate a light in honor or in memory of someone. Lighted evergreens will grace OMC’s front entrance throughout the holiday season. - Prairie Gifts
The Partners established Prairie Gifts at Osceola Medical Center. Staffed by volunteers, this gift shop provides merchandise to meet the needs of staff, patients and visitors while generating revenue to support equipment and program needs of the medical center.
The Partners Scholarship for Continuing Education provides financial assistance for an adult student beginning or continuing education in a medical-related field of study. The Partners High School Scholarship provides financial assistance for education beyond high school for a student pursuing a medical-related field degree.
