David Nelsen, MD, Dermatologist

Nelsen has a special connection to dermatology having been a patient, himself, as a teenager. “I had a skin condition that affected not only my physical appearance, but my self-esteem as well. In dermatology, the focus in on the quality of life, which is often even more important.”

Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Nelsen received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, and completed his residency in dermatology at Marshfield Clinic/St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI.

Certified by the American Board of Physician Assistants, Buchen completed her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Augsburg College in Minneapolis. She also has a master’s in clinical mental health from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, WI, and a bachelor’s in psychology from UW-La Crosse. She focuses on skin health, diseases of the skin and skin treatments.
